Drexel University, Clinical Practice Group
Drexel University, in conjunction with MCP Hahnemann, manages many of the critical infrastructures and Health and Safety requirements for over 60 clinical practices in the medical industry.
Problem
Drexel University’s Health and Safety department is responsible for training the staff of over 250 within the clinical practices in programs such as Fire and Flood Emergencies, Hazardous Materials, and Blood Borne Pathogens. In all there are over 20 programs that staff members are required to be trained in every year.

Drexel’s Safety and Health needed to train these staff members quickly and thoroughly, ensuring all staff received the proper training by the required deadlines.

Solution
EffectiV deployed its eTrain WireFrame Platform™ for the University’s Medical division. This allowed the university to create custom programs using their own content for 20 training modules.

The application provides the required annual safety education courses for the entire staff of each of the 60+ clinical practice affiliates. Staff can log in and ‘attend and participate’ in virtual training sessions right from their own desks or homes, on their own time, at their own pace. Users are able to finish the entire program in one sitting, or log off and re-enter the program later– saving all previous progress within the program.

Result
The new system allows Drexel to better accommodate the 60+ Clinical Practices within the Drexel University network. The program also provides a simpler way to fulfill training requirements, monitor and audit which staff members have completed training, and reduces the cost of training staff.
